Atlanta ARTCC would like to announce Ian Cowan as the new webmaster at ZTL. Ian has been a member at ZTL for over a year and brings some coding and web development experience and lots of youthful enthusiasm to the job.

Atlanta is looking for a motivated individual that possess a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Webmaster.

Duties:
    Maintains and updates facility website and other ARTCC services.
    Maintains facility forums.
    Manage regular backups of facility code and databases. Coordinates these with ZTL Senior Staff.
    Performs other facility related work as directed by the ZTL Senior Staff.
    Ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.
    Maintains an online presence on the VATSIM server and ZTL TeamSpeak.
    Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.

Application Requirements:
    Language knowledge: HTML, CSS, PHP 7 and up, MySQL, JS, jQuery, AJAX.
    Knowledge of version control.
    Knowledge of an MVC Framework, preferably Laravel.
    Must abide by the minimum required hours as dictated in the ZTL SOP.
    Must be an active member of the network in good standing.
    Must be able to work in a team environment.
    Must be available for regular correspondence (via the primary means of e-mail), as well as routinely checking VATUSA forums and other outlets for official notices.

Preferred Skills
    Advanced knowledge of any code described above.
    Graphic Design Experience.
    Provides evidence of commitment and self-motivation.
    Previous experience either as a WM or in assisting an existing WM.

Candidates can expect an initial evaluation of their application after which they may be contacted for a comprehensive interview.

Applications should include:
    Cover letter summarizing experience and interest in Atlanta.
    Full Name, active e-mail, and VATSIM CID.
    Résumé.
    Availability for an interview.

Job Requirements:
•   Maintains and updates sector files for all approved ATC client software, updating at least every AIRAC cycle.
•   Maintains vATIS configuration files.
•   Maintains POF and alias files.
•   Coordinates with adjacent ARTCCs as required, specifically relating to frequency issues.
•   Ensures established LOAs are fully represented within sector files and other procedures.
•   Performs other facility related work as directed by the Senior Staff at ZTL.
•   Serves as a Leader to coach and motivate controllers while upholding a culture that builds exceptional internal and external pilot experiences.
•   Supports and participates in initiatives that give back to the VATSIM community.
•   Supports the recruitment, retention and development of a diverse range of talented people.
•   Holds self and others accountable to high performance standards while providing pilots with positive experiences.
•   Ability to listen to feedback and take constructive action.
•   Maintains an online presence on the VATSIM server and ZTL TeamSpeak.
•   Attends periodic meetings to report on ARTCC activities.

•   Ability to create Tower Trainer/ACSIM files for training purposes.

Will you be able to VFR?

VFR traffic is always welcome at an FNO - weather permitting of course!

However, traffic patterns at the featured airport(s) is discouraged. We usually have one or two other fields staffed for anyone wishing to do pattern work or practice approaches.
