I'm really looking forward to this!

We're going to have up to 6 people (pilots) live streaming this event using the Beta version of the SunSkyJet KTDW scenery.

The streams are located on Youtube and Twitch:

Heads up... banner has it as April 2nd.

Also, if a change to the banner will be made, might I also suggest recommending the SunSkyJet KPHL Scenery (FSX and P3D) http://www.sunskyjet.com/ and/or Ray Smith AFCAD for FSX http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=190771&Cookie=1 or for P3D there is another AFCAD by Robert Catherall http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=46496130for scenery? All are freeware.

One of the things I appreciate about European events is they often recommend a scenery for pilots to use.  Far too many VATSIM event announcements.  I don't recall ever seeing this done in the U.S. (although I may have missed it). It really helps to have pilots using the same or similar scenery whenever possible.

Best wishes to all!

Events / EVENT NOTICES

The following is provided in an effort to help make things better, not to criticize.

The best event notices I've ever seen contain the following information:

1. Links to Freeware and Payware AFCAD and Scenery.

This not only attracts more pilots, it helps them to get the most out of the event experience. Additionally, if the ARTCC takes the time to check the scenery against the Controller software it would help to keep things coordinated.  On the negative side, too many pilots fail to update their AFCADs and everything from parking, taxi, lineup and approaches become misaligned, taking away from the experience for everyone.  It doesn't take long to provide this information, and believe it or not many pilots either don't know that scenery updates exist or they don't know how to format it correctly and install it (they should, but don't) so they'd rather not install it rather than risk damaging their Flight Sim install.

2. Links to Charts.

Many of us know where to get charts, but there are still those who don't. Providing a link would help with this, and providing a PDF Book of charts (like some ARTCCs do) is even better.

Hope you don't mind my two cents.

Dave
