Purpose:
Salt Lake City ARTCC is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Webmaster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Air Traffic Manager and Deputy Air Traffic Manager regarding website matters
- Manages and oversees the ARTCC data services, including web content and delivery, web services, email systems, data storage systems, etc.
- Responds quickly to website and data system needs
- Maintains a high online presence and community presence
- Completes other duties as assigned by the ATM and DATM
Requirements:
- Supports the Salt Lake City ARTCC’s mission of “Community, integrity, and professionalism” while fostering an open and accepting environment.
- Be a member of ZLC, or be willing to transfer upon selection.
- Must be proficient with modern web programming languages and techniques, including Linux, MySQL, and JavaScript.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Work with other WMs of "the partnership" in developing features and maintenance that pertains to all shared facilities (ZAN, ZDV, HCF, ZLC, and ZFW)
- Must be at least a Developing Controller (S1) rating (S2+ is preferred)
Preferred Skills:
- Have previous staff experience in a VATSIM ATC facility or virtual airline
- Previous VATUSA Webteam/personal web project experience
- Experience managing a small group of people
- Some experience, knowledge, or willingness to learn VueJS, Kubernetes, Docker, Golang, PHP functionality, and CI/CD Pipelines
