First of all, I would like to echo Brads thoughts above - listening to the professionals is a great learning tool. As far as developing yourself - I would suggest taking advantage of VATSIM's Pilot Training Center (https://ptd.vatsim.net/). This is a voluntary ratings program which will teach you the fundamentals of flying on the network in style. Once you have the knowledge, you will develop confidence - and once that happens, you have the keys to the network.

This seems like a great move. I am excited to see the well trained students come out of this training program, we will most likely begin implementing a Rosetta Stone series into our continuing education program with out students to prepare accordingly. Come and join us on Thursday February 11th 2016 as our Events Department hosts Good Evening Seattle! Hosted at Seattle Tacoma International Airport (KSEA) come and fly in, out, around or through our mountain filled airspace as we put both our controllers and pilots to the test in what will be a wild night!

These events carry high level traffic, please be courteous to other pilots who may be receiving important transmissions over frequency.
