The Northeast Corridor FNOs have been pretty successful the past couple years, does a decent job of spreading planes out over 3 airports / TRACONS. In the current environment, though, I'd agree we would want more than just 3 airports.

I agree. For FNOs of this scale, 3 airports should practically be a minimum. If we had good staffing, it'd be fun to staff up 5 or 6 charlies to spread out the load, but most facilities can't round up the 10-12 TRACON guys, 10-12 cab guys, and the 6-8 centers (depending where the event is) needed to make that happen.

Splitting up airports is necessary, but we gotta make sure that the airports we use can handle the traffic.
