Finally Atlanta, Georgia gets to feel the cool winter after a hot summer. Atlanta averages 85 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months, whew! Thankfully it's nice and cool now, so we want to celebrate. KATL will have full and wonderful service on December 28, 2019 from 23:59 to 04:00z (7pm-11pm ET).

It's fall, which means the leaves have started to change color. That also means Birmingham (KBHM) will be staffed from 2000-2300z (3pm-6pm ET) on November 10. Come challenge our controllers with blimps, drones, flying boats, spacecraft, or anything that can make it off the ground.

I see that the banner says the event starts at 2000Z and the title of the event says 2100Z. I just want to confirm what time the event will start.

Sorry about that. The organizer had problems with the time the venue was available, but final answer, its 20:00z to 23:00z.

So, like... Staffing every position possible in A80 and ZTL?  :o

Kinda but not a big emphasis on A80. Goal is to get every TRACON on.

ZTL has seen the "Light Up VATUSA" events and we are impressed. So, we decided to do our own light up. ZTL will be attempting to open as many different fields in our ARTCC as possible. The event will begin at 2pm ET (1800z) and go guaranteed for 3 hours until 5pm ET (2100z), however controllers will be on longer.

The freeware FSX scenery does not work on P3Dv4, to fix it, throw the bgl into ADE, click lists, then taxi links, then hit the reset button. Now re-compile the scenery using the SDK and you should be good to go
X-Plane 11 default scenery comes with runway 10/28.

KATL was last updated in the X-Plane Scenery Gateway in Dec 2018 by Litjan.

It is a excellent scenery for KATL, its free & you get it by default.

Thanks guys.

Atlanta has a special fifth runway that is hidden on the south side of the airport. This beautiful slab of concrete is used a lot in the real world, however on VATSIM it does not get as much love as it should. So between 2100z-0100z (5pm-9pm ET) on May 19, 2019, we are going to try to change that; Atlanta will use 28/10 as its primary runway for departures and arrivals. Most sims will not have this runway by default. To be able to use runway 10/28, these are some sceneries that you could use:

FSX/P3D: Freeware: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=195841 (AVSIM Library account required)
P3Dv4 Only: Payware: https://imaginesim.net/product/katl-atlanta-p3d/
X-Plane 11: Payware: https://store.x-plane.org/KATL--Atlanta-International_p_365.html
X-Plane 11: Freeware: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/28877-katl-hartsfield-jackson-atlanta-international-airport/

If you are unable to use runway 10/28, please note that in your remarks.
