Congratulations Krikor!

In the Regional Circuit, we staff up multiple of our airports to provide pilots with an opportunity to receive 'gate-to-gate' ATC service for the duration of the event. Pilots are encouraged to fly between the airports and make the return flight if time allows; however, traffic from other airports is welcome as well. The Regional Circuit always creates an immersive atmosphere with busy frequencies and congested airways between the host airports.

This Regional Circuit features Boston (KBOS) and Burlington (KBTV) airports.

BVA's Minor Facility Showcase gives pilots the opportunity to experience one of our minor airports. Local and overlying air traffic controllers will be providing service for those looking to explore the area, practice instrument approaches, arrive from afar, or just remain in the pattern. With a single focus-airport, this is the perfect opportunity to experience being sequenced at a busier airport with both IFR and VFR arrivals.

This week's event features the controlled airport of Syracuse (KSYR).

Join us for an unforgettable aviation experience as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Northeast Corridor Friday Night Operations, a collaborative event proudly hosted by Boston Virtual ARTCC and Virtual New York ARTCC. Scheduled for Friday, January 26th, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time (23:59 - 04:00 UTC), this special occasion pays homage to the iconic Northeast Corridor train line and its aviation shuttle counterparts.

Our featured event fields include Boston, where you'll navigate the vibrant airspace of Logan International Airport (BOS), a major hub on the Northeast Corridor. Experience the challenge of managing a mix of arrivals and departures amidst the dynamic air traffic flow. Move down the corridor to Providence (PVD), where T.F. Green Airport awaits. Positioned between Boston and New York, Providence offers a unique regional flying experience with a blend of local and cross-country traffic.

Continue your journey to Newark (EWR), home to Newark Liberty International Airport, a critical link in the Northeast Corridor. Pilots can anticipate heavy traffic and precision flying as they navigate the busy airspace with the expert guidance of our air traffic controllers. The event concludes at Philadelphia (PHL), where the historical significance of the Northeast Corridor is palpable. Pilots and controllers alike will be challenged by the diverse mix of traffic in and out of this major city hub.

Inspired by the Northeast Corridor train line, this event aims to replicate the seamless synergy between air and ground transportation in the Northeastern United States. Pilots are encouraged to fly realistic routes connecting the featured airports, while air traffic controllers will provide professional and immersive services to enhance the overall experience. Don't all flood to one airport or you can expect significant ground delays and airspace restrictions!

Don't miss this unique celebration as we mark a decade of Northeast Corridor FNO's on VATSIM. Embrace the challenge of managing air traffic in this bustling corridor and experience the rich history and dynamic operations of this region. We look forward to welcoming you in the virtual skies of the Northeast on January 26th!
