Events / [06/08/2024] Manhattan Madness LIVE

It's the premier New York event of the year, and everyone is invited!! You heard it here first. We are going all in and will be bringing you 7 hours of continuous LIVE coverage from New York City! Don’t mind the strange background noise when you are on our frequencies. Noises may include a printer on fire because there are too many flight strips, instructors yelling at students because they forgot to clear someone to land, or Approach eating a hoagie.
All major ZNY fields will be staffed, so fly in, out, and around for an amazing time in the Northeast. Whether you want to be a New Jersey DEVIL, a New York YNKEE, or enjoy a classic NTHNS hot dog, we promise you this is an event you do not want to miss!

Brrrrr! It’s a cold one out there, folks! Why don’t you make yourself a nice cup of hot chocolate, heat up the fireplace, and settle into your sim for a wintery evening at Philadelphia. Philly - it’s got the Liberty Bell, cheesesteaks, and… an airport with a deicing pad so big that it has its own documentation.
The New York ARTCC is pleased to welcome you to Philadelphia (PHL) for our first Sunday event of the year. Fly into or out of this airport and enjoy a fun afternoon as we face the harsh realities of having to go back to work and school.

Happy New Year! We are excited to be introducing a new event series this year, which will take the place of our other Tuesday Nights event that we used to hold. Therefore, we are shifting this event to a monthly basis. Keep an eye out for the Empire Fields of Mind series, which begins on January 23rd!

Fire up those long-distance aircraft as you set out on a transatlantic flight! The New York ARTCC is teaming up with vACC Switzerland as pilots fly from Zurich (LSZH) to New York-Kennedy (KJFK).
Departures are expected to leave Zurich between 7am-9am Eastern (1200z-1400z) and arrive at Kennedy between 3pm-5pm Eastern (2000z-2200z). We look forward to seeing you in the Big Apple!

On your marks, get set, TOGA! It’s the annual New York City Marathon, and while traffic around the city may be a nightmare from all the closed streets and bridges, you can zoom through the sky - until we put you in a hold. Caution marathon runners reported at 1,000 feet.
Join the New York ARTCC for this fun Sunday event, which will literally take place during the actual Marathon! Our controllers will go for the gold to get you in and out of LaGuardia (KLGA), where you may even see some runners below you on approach!
