While VATUSA converts to the VATSIM SSO the forums will remain open but will require a new password.  If you cannot log in, please use the "Reset Password" option to get a new password for continued use of the forum.

VATUSA will be experiencing scheduled downtime Friday, September 12, 2014 from 1400Z to 1800Z while we migrate to the VATSIM SSO system.  Any functions not requiring logging in will be available.  I will post updates if the scheduled downtime is reduced or expanded.

You're right John.  After further review and with input from VATSIM we have determined that there is no need for an NDA for this project.

VATUSA is embarking on a project that will change the shape of things to come and is asking for help from its members!

VATUSA is looking for qualified people to participate in a project that will enhance the Division and streamline its processes.  We will be reworking the ARTCC Management functions abd providing a VATUSA with a facelift.  We will also be updating code to meet current web standards.

To be qualified you must:

• be proficient in PHP
• Be proficient in PHP OOP
• be proficient in MySQL and ORM
• be goal-oriented and able to meet deadlines
  
• be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
• be legaly capable of signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement, or have a representative who can legally sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement[/s]
• be able to commit no less than four (4) hours per week to this project
• NOT have had any disciplinary action against you in the previous year

We are looking for no more than four (4) volunteers at this time.  Details will be provided to qualified applicants.

An interesting proposal Dylan, I submit to you Section 7.1 of the VATSIM User Agreement.  Unfortunatly we will not be able to comply with your request for pay at this time.  Should the nature of the User Agreement permit us to honor your request at a future date, we recommend you continue to track your earnings and submit a request at that time.

VATUSA has experienced a breach of security.  An unnamed members account was hijacked and used to set a number of little fires around the site.  The issue is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
