« on: December 27, 2015, 10:41:31 PM »
Orlando Live is Happening!! KMCO will be staffed to the hilt! ZJX now has confirmed 10 live controllers to be at our venue in Orlando, Fl. Not only that, but our controllers will be taking part in a FAA guided tour of KMCO's Tower and it's subsequent F11 TRACON room. Times are now final > 1800-0200EST (2200-0600Z). We intend to have two major shifts, 2200z-0200z and then 0200z-0600z so those on the west coast can be included ;D. come for 8+ hours of the finest ATC that VATSIM has to offer, and stay for 10+ *gentlemen* yelling obscenities at each other for late hand-offs. I hope to see everybody there!

LIVE IS ONLY 5 DAYS AWAY!!!

Michael,

Well to start there is no time limit on ATC exams, the length of time it takes to do the tests are different for everybody. All exams are 25 questions. If you know the material by heart tests can be finished in as quick as about 10 minutes. All ATC tests are also open book, it is not uncommon for people who are assigned tests to look for every answer in the VATUSA training material, just to make sure they have the answer right. I personally took all my tests with the VATUSA training material page open. I finished my S2 in 7 minuets and it took me 2 tries and 30 minuets each to take my C1 test. Hopefully I was able to answer your question. I wish you luck on your VATSIM endeavors here in VATUSA and look forward to seeing you on the scopes as well!

Happy Controlling.

Date: October 25th, 2015
Time: 2300-0200z
Locations: KATL/KJAX

Please join vZJX and vZTL ARTCC’s in this unique event to win a copy of the new Imaginesim KATL 2016 scenery!! With the pending release of this scenery on that same weekend, here is your chance to win a free copy for yourself. Expect full ATC coverage at the Jacksonville (KJAX) and Atlanta (KATL) airports.  This will provide fun flying throughout the southeast! Details below on the rules on how to win a copy of the new scenery, courtesy of Imaginesim!

We have a total of 3 copies that are being donated by Imaginesim. This will be a raffle system conducted by vZTL staff. It will work by the amount of takeoffs/landings at the Atlanta airport (KATL) with a maximum number of tickets being 5 per pilot. Example, you do KATL-KJAX that gives you 1 ticket. You then do a return flight KJAX-KATL, the landing counts as another ticket, you know would have 2 tickets. We will have a dedicated staff member to monitor the flights and mark down pilot names and CID.

Rules:

No touch and go’s
Maximum of 5 tickets per pilot (CID)
vZTL ARTCC controllers are NOT eligible
vZJX ARTCC controllers are NOT eligible

Winners will be chosen at random, then their information will be forwarded to Imaginesim. After it’s received you will get your copy of the scenery!
