Please welcome Carson Murphy from ZBW which now joins us as our new Event's Coordinator. Carson has been on Vatsim since 2015 and with Boston as an S3 since about 2018. He is a freshman in college in Mass. and we can not wait to see what he has in store for us.

    The Pacific Control Facility is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Events Coordinator. Those seeking to apply see applicable responsibilities and requirements below.

    Job Description:
    The Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution of
    events at the ARTCC. The Events Coordinator requires considerable amount of work to include up to 5 hours per week executing Events Coordinator duties. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Reports to the DATM.
    Identifies and develops events to generate traffic and promote the ARTCC.
    Implements and oversees approved events.
    Coordinates with neighboring ARTCC to arrange support for PCF hosted events and neighboring events.
    Coordinates with VATUSA NOM for event planning, traffic expectations, event execution, and debrief.
    Develops and distributes marketing materials to promote events and the ARTCC.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Must hold S2 Rating. MUST obtain S3 rating within 60 days of appointment.
    Must have no disciplinary record with VATSIM, VATUSA, or PCF within the last year.
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as this is a client-facing position.[/li]

Desired Qualifications:
C1 Rating preferred
Knowledge of the PCF airspace and typical traffic loads in various event situations
Experience/talent in graphic design, typography, etc.
Experience with event planning of any type

PCF has chosen  Chris Hargreaves as our new Webmaster. Chris comes to us from DC and he has a great grasp of knowledge with different website codes and windows platforms as well as IOS/Android. Congratulations Chris, we are looking forward to what you have in store for us.

The Pacific Control Facility is currently seeking applicants for the position of Facility Engineer.

Duties:
Reports to the DATM; ATM as necessary
Maintain active online presence on the website, discord, email, and network
Attends staff meetings as called by the ATM
Creates, maintains and updates PCF sector files, alias files, POF files, and vATIS config files.
Coordinates with PCF and other ARTCC staff to mitigate and manage frequency and automation problems.
Maintains approved facility Orders, SOPs and LOAs, ensuring they are electronically available through the website.
Develops and maintains Quick Reference Cards
Review and recommend the use of other controller tools for implementation within the ARTCC
Any other duty assigned

Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least a Senior Student (S3) rating
Must be an active member of the network in good standing
Be a member of PCF, or willing to transfer upon selection
Be skilled with VATSIM ATC Client software and software involved in technical file creation/manipulation.
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Highly Desired Skills:
Possess a high degree of commitment and motivation
Possess experience and certification within the PCF ARTCC
Have previous Facility Engineer experience
Have experience with software programming

Please Welcome Daneel Polakof as PFC's newest Facility Engineer. Daneel comes to us from Jacksonville Artcc. He has been working extensively on sector files,vstars files and others on his own time and is now ready to take on the task of FE. I can not wait to see what Daneel has in store for us. PCF ARTCC is currently seeking applicants for the position of Webmaster.

Duties:
Reports to the ATM regarding website matters.
Maintain an active online presence on the website, discord, email, and network.
Manages and oversees the ARTCCs data services including web content and delivery, web services, email systems, data storage systems, etc.
Must respond quickly to website and data system needs.
Develops and implements policies and procedures for the operation and maintenance of the ARTCC web and data systems.
Attends staff meetings as called by the ATM.
Any other duty assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be an active member of the network in good standing.
Be a member of PCF, or willing to transfer upon selection.
Must be proficient with modern web programming languages and techniques, including PHP, HTML, MySQL, and CSS.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Highly Desired Skills:
Have previous staff experience in a VATSIM ATC facility or virtual airline.
