Just a minor complaint.

Would it be possible to have some other options for skins in this forum? Something similar to the colors in the VATSIM forum or phpBB would be nice.

I find the current black theme unattractive, hard to look at/read, and is not very condusive to discussion

I agree with this. I think some other choices would be nice.

Hi,

From what I believe, this is a customised CSS skin due to features that have been put in place on the forum. We're going to have to wait until one of the guys has some time to create a new skin for the forum and I know they are quite busy at the moment.

Either that, or someone could contact VATUSA6 and offer their services, if they have the know how. I'm sure VATUSA would appreciate the help.

Cheers!

Well that would be VERY nice of that person but a FREEWARE QUALITY IPB Theme Developer is VERY Hard to come by. And also, developers for IPB is very hard to come by due to its VERY steep price! But I do have to say that it is a bit dark in here. I would think that something with a few clouds and a sky of some sort would lighten up the environment on these forums.

Hi all,

I'll see what can be done to alter the "mood lighting" on here somewhat...please be patient with us on this. As Paul pointed out, this skin has been highly customized to provide the layout format, shading and other items that make the forum unique and useful. Like Sean said, IPB skin design is not for the faint of heart due to its heavy reliance on CSS and use of its extension capabilities...IPB skinners do not work cheap...well, I guess I do since no one's paid me for any of this work so far...

Wait... you mean YOU'RE not getting paid?! Well, I guess this is a bad time to ask for a raise...

I would like to make the motion that all the staff in VATUSA take a 10% pay cut to help give the boss a raise.

Some one help me with the math, 10% * 0 =

If you like the look of the early internet days and you have Firefox, you can go to the View menu, Page style, then No Style (or if you're lazy like me, press ALT, then press V Y N)

That is, if you really think this theme is bad (it's not).

Gotta agree with Dunk on this one. And respectfully, the "new post" icon is almost the same shade of blue as the "read post" icon... I'm getting used to it, but I wish that the two different icons had more contrast.
