We at Chicago would like to welcome Jason Lu as ZAU's newest Events Coordinator!
Jason has previous FE experience from ZHU and EC experience from HCF. His motivation to continue the duties asked of an EC will serve him well in Chicago, creating events to connect us to the rest of the country and the world. Welcome aboard!

Location: Chicago ARTCC and all ATC facilities within its area of control.

Submission Deadline: 12/28/2018
Chicago ARTCC is seeking a qualified Events Coordinator to help promote the facility as well as plan and execute quality events by bringing in unique and creative ideas while building on those that already exist within the facility. Applicants must hold an S2. Experience in events coordination or marketing is encouraged and preferred but not required.
All interested applicants must submit the following to the Interim DATM ([email protected]):
- Letter of Interest
- List of previous experience, if any
- Ideas you can bring to ZAU
Duty Requirements
-Reports to the DATM
-Must hold S2 rating or above
-Creates, plans, and executes events to generate pilot and controller participation while promoting ZAU
-Coordinates with neighboring facilities to arrange support for events and arranges ZAU support for
events held by neighboring facilities
-Maintain active relationship with virtual airlines, coordinate for VA-hosted events affecting the ZAU
airspace
-Develop and distribute marketing materials to promote events and the ARTCC
-Marketing adviser to the senior staff
-Attends staff meetings as called by the senior staff
-Encouraged but not required to provide relevant articles to the monthly newsletter
-Maintain active online presence on the website, forum, teamspeak, and network
-Understands and is proficient in graphic design programs such as Photoshop or Gimp

Events / Polar Bear Plunge - Milwaukee 2019

Join ZAU on Thursday, January 3rd 2019 at 22:00z until 01:00z for a plunge into the freezing cold, lake Michigan! Be sure to bring some extra fuel to keep yourself warm on the trip home! This event will take place at Milwaukee - Gen. Mitchell International Airport. (KMKE)

Not sure if you still remember the name of the SUP, but I would get in contact with Tim about it. And I am no supervisor, but from what I hear, you should receive an email from the sup explaining what happened and why you were suspended with what the individual broke within CoC. We have to hold them accountable too, something like that can't just slip by without any light. If you can't get in contact with Tim, search higher. (VATGOV8, or 1+2)
