Not sure about the other clients, but VRC has the .logofftime command for that very reason.

I really enjoyed flying FNO -- got two flights booked and flown, and the ATC was excellent.  ORD APP and CHI CTR did a great job getting me out too.  ZMP rocked during FNO -- great job!

Wow, Dave, I'm sorry to hear that for us on the VATSIM side, but certainly understand.  I wish you all the best, and wish you a return to normalcy and peace very soon.  Take care.

Congrats on your selection, Chad.  ZMP has a top notch crew and program.  You won't be disappointed.  Enjoy!

Not a problem, Chad.  You and we all want you to be happy, challenged and have fun.  With the thought that you are putting into it, I have no doubt that you'll do just fine.  Have fun, and see you on the scopes!

Chad,

Harold brings up some excellent points.  At Boston, we place our emphasis on controller quality, teamwork and fun.  The website, though it suits our needs, just ain't fancy.

The other thing we're missing, like most ARTCCs I'm sure, it a ton of instructional staff that's available whenever you want it.  That said, our controllers get trained, and the ones that train with us, that stay patient and dedicated, become excellent controllers and generally have fun to boot.  All of our training material and syllabi are available on our website.  We require you to read first, try to understand, and then work with our instructional staff to supplement book learning with practical, hands-on learning.

Want some insight into the Boston experience?  Check out www.bostonartcc.net and more importantly, view this video at least 6 times: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAUS0S_xoFM

Whether you end up at Boston or not, I wish you all the best, and we're all happy to help and answer any questions you have.

Wow.....  Thanks for the heads up Bob.  Would anyone from ZAB like to announce what the deal is, start and end time, if there are featured airports, a theme, etc.?

Mat/USA5:  A lot of people rely on the calendar.  Can you fix this pronto!  Thanks!!

AND THEY DID IT!!!!!

Please, all, join me in a bow of respect followed by very healthy applause for the team at Minneapolis. You guys are sick! awesome! for achieving a full 100% online presence -- a new VATSIM record (and, of course, one that can never be broken, only tied). Team Boston hopes you enjoyed all the Red Bull we had flown in there for you guys; give us a call in 4 days or so when you wake up, and we'll fly in some fresh Laaahhhbstaah for your team celebration.
