Events / Southern Swamp Crossfire

Join the Houston and Memphis ARTCCs as we staff up two of our closest airport, Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (KJAN) and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (KMSY). Fly your general aviation, helicopter, military, or commercial aircraft for this short hop between our two ARTCCs! We’ll be open and running for at least 3 hours, keeping everything staffed from 2300 zulu to 0200 zulu.

Come and join ZME as we host our 3rd annual "Party on Beale Street" for Friday Night Operations on June 3rd from 2300z-0400z featuring Memphis International (KMEM). We want you to come and give us Memphis controllers all we can handle from VFR to IFR.We are sure to have a blast full of ZME "Southern Hospitality" and of course great barbeque!

We will be giving away 4 copies of the brand new FSDT Memphis to two pilots that fly into FNO.

Come join us on President's Day for a night of flying, as well as political fun! We are featuring an airport dedicated to one of our own past Presidents, Clinton National Airport. Clinton National Airport is located in Little Rock, Arkansas, home to over 200,000 people. Little Rock sees daily flights to Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, Charlotte, Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, and New Orleans. The event will begin at 2359z and will last until 0300z. Please come out and celebrate the Presidents that have served our country ZME style!

We invite everyone to join us every other Monday as we feature various Class Charlies in the ZME airspace this week will be KBNA and its satellites from 2359z-0300z. Nashville is the 4th largest city in southeastern United States and home to many tourist attractions including the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. We hope you join us in Nashville for great Southern Hospitality and country music. Yeeeehawwwww!

]Join us on Monday January 4th from 2359z-0300z as we staff up KXNA and KFSM. The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (KXNA) is nestled between Fayetteville Springdale, and Bentonville Arkansas. KXNA is one of the smallest airports in the U.S to receive daily year round nonstop jet service to New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago and Dallas,largely due to the worlds largest company, Walmart, in nearby Bentonville. Fort Smith Regional Airport is located 83 miles south of KXNA and holds the TRACON for both airports.KFSM sees daily flights to Atlanta and Dallas. We hope to see you come fly into KFSM or KXNA as we light up the Razorback TRACON.IFR and VFR are always welcome and we hope you enjoy your stay in Northwest Arkansas.

As summer break comes to a close for most of us, ZJX in partnership with ZTL and ZME have organized a back to school bash!! Join us as we light up as many Class Charlie approach sectors as possible and as close as possible for rapid high density hand offs as everybody whizzes through all of the different sectors in ZJX, ZTL, and ZME. ZJX will be staffing up KCAE,KCHS and KSAV. ZTL will be staffing KCHA KBHM KTRI. ZME will be staffing KHSV and KBNA. The event will take place between 2259-0300z>>7:00PM EST-11:00PM EST on 8/19/15 we hope you will come and join us!!

The Fort Worth and Memphis ARTCC’s invite you to our ZFW-ZME Crossfire. On Saturday, September 5th, 2015, both ARTCC’s will be staffed up awaiting the arrivals and departures out of KDFW and KOKC (ZFW), as well as KMEM and KLIT (ZME) This should be a very fun night, and we encourage pilots to fly within the selected airports or anywhere!

Welcome to Nashville the Home of Country Music! Tonight is the biggest night in country music. All of the stars you know from Florida Georgia Line to Jason Aldean are coming in for the Country Music Awards. Welcome all the fans in at KBNA or even sneak a few celebrities into Smyrna(KMQY) or John Tune (KJWN) for their big night! This event is sure to be a great one with country music and Southern Hospitality!
