ZJX is looking for a Events Coordinator!
The event coordinator is key to connecting pilots and controllers. We're looking for someone who is motivated, experienced and willing to take on new challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact with VATUSA for events
- Collaborates with empowers the ZJX Events Team
- Develops an events program promoting ZJX airspace (including developing graphics and promoting events)
- Coordinates controller event participation
- Coordinates events with neighboring facilities
- Coordinates support for events at neighboring facilities
- Coordinates with VATUSA vATCSCC
- Solicits feedback for and debriefs each event with the facility staff
- Stays up to date with VATUSA, VATSIM and virtual airline events
- Serves as liaison to virtual airlines and other pilot organizations
- Maintains an active presence within the facility and on the VATSIM network
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing with no significant derogatory marks
- Currently hold a rating of Senior Student (S3) or higher
- Capable of working well in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous or current ARTCC staff or events experience
- Real world aviation experience
This position requires a significant commitment to ZJX and VATSIM. Role and responsibilities may change as needed.
