The Houston crew will be gathering together LIVE to make this event come to life! Take a trip down south on March 9th, 2024 at 2359 to catch the first Houston event of 2024. See you in the skies!

Houston Hobby airport hosts hundreds of flights everyday from all over the country and some parts of the world. On VATSIM, Hobby airport is fairly popular for flightsimmers all around the world reminding us that this is indeed... Just a HOU.

Join vZHU as we staff KHOU from 2359z-0300z

This event is a collaboration with Texan Simulations. Texan Simulations will be giving away 4 copies of their new HOU scenery for MSFS if you fly into or out of HOU during this event.

Please expect a Google form in the HOU ATIS. You will be expected to enter contact information into that form. If you are selected, you'll receive an email from [email protected] who will guide you through the process of getting the scenery. Good luck!

Mardi Gras has a very rich history. According to History.com, The first American Mardi Gras took place in 1699 when French explorers landed in New Orleans. 128 years later a group of students started a tradition that took about 10 years to really set in, and now we have present day Mardi Gras! I recommend reading the article, I found it very interesting.

The deep south Texas area only feature 2 approach facilities, CRP/VLY and NQI. Generally when people staff up these approach facilities they aren't looking for a lot of traffic, just a relaxing evening. Lets change that. ZHU will staff NQI, CRP and VLY approaches (and underlying towers cabs) on NOV9th at 2300z to 0200z! Come join us and find your relaxing Paradise in the Valley!
