News / Seattle has a new DATM!
« on: June 13, 2020, 01:28:13 PM »
I’m excited to announce the promotion of Rusty Wittner to be the new ZSE Deputy Air Traffic Manager! Rusty brings a wealth of experience to the table, being a long standing member and mentor of ZSE, as well as bringing real-world management experience. I’m excited for what Rusty has in store for ZSE.

I’d also like to take a few moments to thank Alex Seeberger for his time and dedication donated to VATSIM. Alex has been a tremendous support and role model to not only myself, but the ARTCC as a whole, being a model of professionalism, leadership, and character. Alex has stepped down due to real-world work and family commitments, his leadership will be missed!

Again, a big congratulations to Rusty and a huge thank you to Alex!

News / ZSE Has a New TA!
« on: April 11, 2020, 11:47:44 AM »
It is with great pleasure that I announce Matthew Woerly as the next Training Administrator for the Seattle ARTCC! Matthew has been a very long-standing member of our ARTCC, having previously served as a mentor and most recently as an instructor and Facilities Engineer. Matthew brings a great deal of knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm to the TA role. I am excited to see what Matthew has in store for the ZSE Training Department!

While I am thrilled to have Matthew join us in such an important role, I'd be remiss if I didn't express my sincerest thanks to Frank Miller for his dedication and energy given to ZSE in the TA role. Real-world commitments always come first, so I could not be more grateful for Frank's leadership and guidance during his almost two years as TA. The ZSE Training Department is in a much better position from having Frank at the helm.

Again, a huge thank you to Frank and congratulations Matthew!

I am pleased to announce that Alex Seeberger has been selected as the next Deputy Air Traffic Manager for ZSE! Alex comes with great real-world and VATSIM experience, currently serving as a mentor here and previously serving as the Event Coordinator at ZAN. Alex has some great ideas to keep ZSE running strong and make ZSE even better! I am excited to see what Alex has in store for ZSE.

While we are extremely lucky to have Alex step up to such an important role, he has some big shoes to fill as we say thank you to Vishaank Ghai. Vishaank served as our DATM for over a year and was instrumental in helping ZSE transition management teams and develop our own vision. Vishaank's expertise and guidance will truly be missed, he was a vital asset to our team.
