Featuring our two beachside bravos, ZLA presents Friday Night Ops at KLAX and KSAN!
Pilots are encouraged to fly from neighboring ARTCCs to San Diego or Los Angeles or vice versa. Pilots wishing to fly between these airports should be prepared for ground holds and release times.

Bravos by the Beach is only a week away! For those planning on flying in, check out the article on our website about arriving into LAX:

tl;dr? If you're flying the ANJLL arrival, select and/or fly the CRCUS approach transition. If you're flying the HLYWD or SEAVU arrivals, select and/or fly the SEAVU approach transition.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Thank you to everyone who flew into LAX and SAN tonight! Our controllers had a wonderful time working everyone in and out of the two fields. For a bit of a fun fact, during the period of 0100z-0200z SAN was at capacity, hitting its real world airport arrival rate of 22 in IMC.

Fantastic Event guys! I flew in to KSAN then outta KSAN to KLAS. Great job by everyone, thanks for being on and hosting this FNO LA!
-
Seconded. Thanks for pushing it something fierce at SAN.
-
Thanks to everyone who flew in and to our home and visiting controller staff who really pushed some tin.
-
Thanks for the good word. Thanks to the pilots to helped make it a success.

Another wonderful event, my comment is,,, during the last few events, the traffic flow is very organized, I'm finding it easier to transition from STAR to Final Approach course, with increased speed, no problem. Maybe because we the pilots are using and interpreting STARs and getting more clearances to fly these into busy terminal areas.Anyway, With an additional screen that is dedicated to VATSIM radar... It's a site to see the traffic flow 100 miles out to LAX..
One thing...When i tune in LAX ATIS, the text portion differs from the verbal portion. Maybe a glitch with XPLANE.

ZLA knocked it out of the park, as usual. A particular shining star for me was the Center controller who worked the northwestern sector, who handled my VFR-turned-IFR flight from KSBP to KSNA.

Can't wait for the next one!
