Do we need the limited edition of Flight Sim X, with the online controller, in order to be a controller on here? This has been bugging me since I passed the test.

Hi Stephen,
  You can find more information on becoming a controller on both the VATUSA and VATSIM main sites. However, to answer your question...no. Even if you possess the Deluxe FSX you can not use it to control. Controllers utilize 1 of 3 programs to do their job. These are ASRC (fading out), VRC (most US ARTCC's use this), and Euroscope (Popular in Europe regions, and some US facilities support it). Take a look around both the VATUSA site, and VATSIM on how to become a controller if you are interested, and you should find the info you need. If not let us know and we can point you in the right direction.
