Title: Help with becoming and ATC
Post by: Toby Lou on April 08, 2013, 04:43:32 PM
I am trying to become and ATC for VATSIM however when I click on "Become an ATC" on the main website and fill in my information for step one, it says that my information is wrong and to try again. I am sure my info is correct. Help!

It normally takes up to 24 hours for all the servers to sync,

thats the most common issue

Toby,

The VATUSA Basic ATC exam has been assigned to you. Once you have passed that, you will be able to join an ARTCC.

All, we are experiencing a problem with the VATUSA site recognizing CID and password combinations for newly joining members.  We believe it has something to do with a recent change pushed by VATSIM.  Data Services is looking into it.  Thanks for your patience.  In the meantime, if you are experiencing a problem, please fill out a support ticket and we'll manually assign the Basic ATC exam, which should jumpstart the process.

Michael Martin, VATUSA Data Services Manager, believes he has just fixed this issue.  That said, if you experience a problem, please fill out a support ticket and explain what the issue/problem is.  We'll manually assign the Basic ATC exam, which will get you going.
