Travellers are flying home from a long holiday break with family, and all they want to do is get home and go to sleep in their own bed. ZAU is making that happen during Home from the Holidays! We will be providing service at O'Hare International Airport to get you to your destination or bring you in for pickup at the taxi line or the Blue Line between 2200z and 0200z. Pilots flying out, remember to stop by the Central Deicing Facility for a clean wing in the event of snow or icing!
It is highly recommended to have updated scenery for this event, as triple simultaneous parallel approaches will be in use. Various freeware and payware sceneries are available for most simulators. Arrival runways are typically 28C/27C/27R or 10R/10C/9L. Please advise ATC as soon as possible if you are unable to accept a specific runway or require additional accommodation. It is also advised that pilots load their respective approaches from VOGLR or GIBNS so all waypoints are displayed in the FMC and MFD, but please note that you may not receive approach clearances from the aforementioned waypoints.
