Clifford, the disconnect you experienced was because of a network error and vPilot lost the connection to VATSIM. You are able to reconnect at any time.

News / Position Opening: ZNY Facilities Engineer

ZNY is currently seeking a Facility Engineer who will assist the Air Traffic Manager and Training Administrator in maintaining the ARTCC sector file and documentation (including SOPs).
Duties include:
Reports to the ATM
Maintains an active online presence on the website, Teamspeak, forums, email and network.
Acts as a staff member, leading and supporting ARTCC members
Attends staff meetings as called by the ATM
Maintains the ZNY VRC sector files, updating them with the latest AIRACs.
Maintains the ZNY POF, Alias, vATIS files and updating them as required.
Updates and develops SOPs in collaboration with other staff members.
Requirements:
Must have a good knowledge of VRC sector, video maps and how they are developed.
Should have an understanding and the ability to support Euroscope sector files.
Knowledge and experience with MediaWiki.
Working knowledge of Git.
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InkScape
Some understanding of Java (To be able to compile and run a Java project to simplify AIRAC updates)
Skills that are a plus
Previous experience as an FE or as an assistant to an FE.
Ability to maintain TWRTrainer or similar tools to develop Sweatbox scenarios.
