News / Jacksonville's New Training Administrator
« on: October 15, 2018, 10:25:17 AM »
I am pleased to announce Stephen O'Hara as Jacksonville's newest Training Administrator. Stephen has been a part of Jacksonville since 2013 and previously served as an Instructor and Mentor at Jacksonville and our neighbor, Atlanta. Stephen brings a fresh perspective to the ZJX TA role and has many great ideas which are forthcoming. I'm excited to see where he will be taking ZJX's training program.

To others who applied for this role, I'd like to say it takes a lot of selflessness for someone to throw their name in for the TA role. It's a position of service that gets little thanks and I really admire those who are willing to take that service on. I really appreciate you putting your name forward and Stephen will be reaching out for your help and ideas in revamping Jacksonville.

News / Announcing ZJX's New DATM...
« on: July 29, 2018, 02:54:23 PM »
Kyle Ekas has assumed the role of Deputy Air Traffic Manager for Jacksonville today. Kyle has been an extremely valuable member of Jacksonville, serving in a variety of senior staff roles since 2016. He also served under me during my time as Honolulu DATM. He will be an instrumental part in executing Jacksonville ARTCC's vision and direction, and I know he is up for the challenge.

I'd like to thank Andrew Sterling for his time as DATM. Luckily, we get to keep Andrew, and he'll be staying on as an instructor for our controllers. Thank you, Andrew, for making this transition as seamless as possible :).
