VATUSA Tech Team is hiring developers!
This is an additional duty position. Successful candidates will remain at their home facility. Tech Team members are required to maintain their roster position within a VATUSA Facility.
Duties:
- Develop software for the VATUSA division as directed by the Technical Manager
- Maintain an active presence on discord, email, and the network.
- Provide technical support for Facilitiy and VATUSA Staff on assigned projects
- Document services and systems as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be an active member of the network in good standing
- Must be a member of the VATUSA division and a VATUSA facility
- Must be highly motivated and willing to dedicate time to contribute to the success of their assigned projects
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment while also being productive independently
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have proficiency with at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc)
- Must be familiar with common data structures and algorithms
Desired Qualifications:
- A letter of recommendation from home facility senior staff (ATM, DATM, or TA)
- Current or previous WM / Web Team experience within VATUSA
- Experience working with one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience working with SQL databases (mysql) and SQLAlchemy or another Python ORM
- Experience working on projects with other developers
