Hello All, just wondering, how do I take the S1 exam?

Anthony:

You'll get your S1 rating after you complete any initial tests and training with your home ARTCC. Contact them to begin your training.

You can also look over things yourself and practice to get better before you test, and when you do test use reference materials such as VATUSA training, and Google!

I think the process is
Home ARTCC S1 exam, then they'll assign you the VATUSA S1 exam. Then you can start logging onto the network as S1 (if you pass the exams) and control (this varies on ARTCC local policies)

Not all ARTCC's have an in house S1 Exam Terry, Some decide to work with a student till they believe they are ready then assign the S1, there are quite a few ARTCC's that have different ways of doing it
