Position Posting- ZSE Events Coordinator

The Seattle ARTCC (ZSE) is now accepting applications for Events Coordinator.

Duties
*Reports to ZSE Senior Staff (ATM, DATM, TA) and the VATUSA Traffic Management Unit (TMU) as required
*Creates, plans, manages, and executes events to generate pilot and controller participation while promoting ZSE.
*Coordinates with neighboring facilities to arrange support for ZSE events and arranges ZSE support for events held by neighboring facilities
*Maintains active relationship with virtual airlines, coordinates for VA-hosted events affecting ZSE airspace
*Develops and distributes marketing materials to promote events and the ZSE ARTCC
*Attends staff meetings as called by the senior staff
*Maintains active online presence on the ZSE website, ZSE Discord server, VATUSA Forum, VATUSA Discord Server and the VATSIM network

Core Requirements
The successful candidate will:
*be an active member of the network in good standing.
*maintain active membership and home controller proficiency and currency.
*have excellent written and oral communication skills.
*be able to work in a team environment.
*have no disciplinary history or record of unprofessional behavior.
*have experience with a graphics editor such as Photoshop or GIMP.
*maintains a love for crunchy Jif peanut butter.
 
Highly Desired Skills and Abilities
ZSE is particularly interested in persons who:
*have an S3 rating or above.
*will be an active controller both during events and normal daily operations.
*are able to demonstrate the qualities of understanding, honesty, patience, maturity and restraint.
*can bring a verifiable level of experience sufficient to ensure the ability to manage events in a complex aviation environment.
*understand and commit to a high level of participation with the knowledge that the position requires considerable devotion and commitment of time.
*Members with a high online presence
*Members with previous staff experience
*Mature individuals

The Seattle ARTCC is seeking a motivated individual that possesses a high degree of energy and commitment to serve as the Deputy Air Traffic Manager. Applicants should note that this position requires a significant time commitment.

Job Description
•   Assists the Air Traffic Manager in the daily operation of the ARTCC
•   Oversees and manages the Events Coordinator and Facilities Engineer positions
•   Must maintain an active presence both online and in the ARTCC Discord
•   Assists in the development of ARTCC SOPs, LOAs and Policies
•   Requires a commitment of at least 4-6 hours a week
•   Must abide by the Controller Activity requirements as listed in the ZSE Central Policy Statement 001
•   Able to receive constructive feedback and make corrective action
•   Attend periodic meetings called by the ARTCC Staff and VATUSA HQ
•   Other duties as assigned by the Air Traffic Manager

Minimum Requirements
•   Currently hold a rating of Controller (C1) or higher. S3 candidates may be considered as long as a C1 rating can be obtained within 90 days of selection.
•   Works well in a team-oriented environment
•   Demonstrates excellent leadership skills
•   Be an active member of the VATSIM network in good standing with no significant disciplinary actions in the last 12 months
•   Strong knowledge of the U.S. Airspace and Air Traffic Control systems & procedures
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
•   Previous or current ARTCC staff experience
•   Have held a rating of I1 for at least 90 days at any given time prior to hiring date
•   Supervisory or management experience in virtual or real world
•   Real world aviation experience (pilot or air traffic control) would be a plus

1.   Letter of interest. This should include:
a.   a brief description of qualifications
b.   list of prior experience
c.   Letter of Recommendation from present facility ATM or DATM by email to the above email address.

I would like to welcome back Falcon Momot as ZSE's new(old) Webmaster. He brings some new life to the web department and will be a great addition to the team!

Among The Volcanoes. This event features Seattle (KSEA), Portland (KPDX), Spokane (KGEG) and Medford (KMFR) and all airports will be staffed. You can fly IFR or VFR in whatever aircraft you choose. We will be letting you see these volcanoes on July 3rd at 2300z and hope they dont erupt so you can make it to the festivities on July 4th!

We know that Portland and Edmonton are the second best airports in our airspaces, and we know you want to fly out of the other airports BUT lets not! On May 2nd between 2100z and 0100z both KPDX and CYEG will be staffed! So come out and see the second best airports, and don't fly out of the firsts because we will be very upset!

The Control Room Floor / OpenGL out of memory error vERAM

When ever controlling or event observing with vERAM I keep getting a OpenGL out of memory error. Has anyone ever had this, if so how do i go about fixing it? If not, who should I contact for this issue?
