Hey Daniel, just looking to clarify -- post title and wording in the post says 2345-0400Z, which would be 7:45pm to midnight EDT, but the banner says 2300-0300Z / 7-11pm EST.  We're still in DST.  Could you please clarify?  Thanks.

You are not authorized to descend until you are specifically cleared to descend via the STAR.

Considering it's not any kind of official VATSIM software, you may want to go to their website make your request directly with the developer(s).

During an event with multiple splits, many facilities and controllers make it a point to publish the split information (at least which sector they are working) in their Controller Information.  Some facilities, like ZMP, publish their splits for pilots to find (https://minniecenter.org/split which could be found by going to the home page, selecting Pilots and selecting ATC Split Information).

In all cases, however, you could just call up one of them, tell them where you are, and ask which controller you should be talking to.  The controller should then (hopefully at least semi-cheerfully :) ) tell you which controller you should call.

Congratulations, Blake.  Thank you for stepping up to assume this pivotal role.

Daniel, you already know how I feel, but VATUSA would not be where it is today without the tremendous dedication, skill, and passion you brought to the role.  You advanced this Division lightyears.  I cannot thank you enough, from the bottom of my heart.

All the best to you both!

Just wanted to say thanks to the crews at ZFW, ZME and ZTL.  By all accounts this was a great event, brought a ton of traffic, and kudos to the controllers who were able to stay on late to accommodate the masses of traffic that were still flying well past the publicized end time.  It was a really popular event!  Great job!

Daniel,

I cannot thank you enough for the incredible work, dedication and results that you have provided for the benefit of VATSIM, VATUSA, our ARTCCs, and me personally.  You have taken us leaps and bounds forward from where we once were.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you.  You have my undying gratitude.

I can tell you that retirement is nice, you get some time back, but there's always that sucking sound in the background, sucking you back in.... ;)  Enjoy some time off, and look forward to working with you again at some point!  ;) ;) ;)
