News / ZFW has a new TA!
« on: November 17, 2016, 09:20:18 PM »
I am pleased to announce that Cameron Bristol will be taking over as the next Training Administrator at ZFW. Cameron originally started his controlling career at ZFW, before going to ZHU to serve as an instructor and events coordinator. Cameron returns to ZFW to take over for John Bartlett, who has stepped up into the DATM position. We are looking forward to to his leadership in the training department and seeing what he can accomplish!

Welcome back, Cameron!

News / ZFW has a new DATM!
« on: November 10, 2016, 07:03:56 PM »
It is my great pleasure to announce that John Bartlett has been selected as the next ZFW DATM! John has most recently served as ZFW TA for the past couple of months and has done a fantastic job so far in that capacity. Finding a replacement in the training department for John will be a tough task and whoever it is has some big shoes to fill. That being said, I am looking forward to seeing John’s continued success in his new leadership role.

Congrats, John!

The Fort Worth ARTCC invites you to play the odds with our combined Casino and Suicide Ops night. Find your way to Eldorado in Shreveport, or Win-a-Star in Oklahoma City! Getting out of DFW will be a real event. Taking off into arriving traffic is somewhat of a feat. Are you up for the challenge?

Prizes are as follows: (2) Flight1 Title Software (up to $59.95 in value) and (2) Blueprint Scenery (FSX or FS2004, excluding KJFK and KEWR) Prizes will be distributed evenly between OKC/SHV (1 Flight1 prize and 1 Blueprint prize handed out at each airport.)

Suicide ops will be taking place at DFW.

Casino Ops rundown:

1.Prizes will only been awarded to pilots to depart or arrive at a "Casino Airport" (KOKC or KSHV).

2. Pilots will guess a number between 0-100. They can either choose their own number, or have the ZFW website generate a random one for them.

3. To be eligible for a prize, pilots will need to fill out an entry form on the ZFW ARTCC website (http://zfwartcc.net/?p=30) For more details, please visit the ZFW website. Ground controllers will do their best to send a private message to each pilot to remind them to submit their entry on the ZFW website.

4. Winning numbers will be predetermined by ZFW management via a number generator prior to the event and winners will be notified within 24 hours of the conclusion of the event.
