Please join me in congratulating Mark Hubbert on his appointment as the newest Western Region ATD. Mark most recently served as the ATM of the Memphis ARTCC, a role he served in admirably for the last two years.  Welcome to your new role, Mark!

Congratulations Mark! I am confident that choosing you for this position will prove to be a very good move for the Western Region and VATUSA. Your "pride and ownership" approach is exactly what the Region and the Division needs. I am very eager to start working with you to help move VATUSA forward to a bright future.

The competition for this role was intense and proved to be a very hard decision for us. There were several very qualified people willing to take on this role. To all of the extremely talented and dedicated people that applied, I would like to thank you for volunteering to step up and take on this role.

What can I say Mark...I am not surprised one bit!  Working with you for the past 4 years, and as your DATM for the past almost 2, has been an absolute pleasure.  Memphis truly is losing a great leader.  Best of luck in the Western Region, I know you will excel in your new role!

"A BIG THANK YOU" to all for the warm welcome and congratulations.  I am very excited about this new opportunity and am eager to transition into the new role.  
I also want to give a "BIG THANK YOU" to my former controllers and staff at vZME-Memphis for working with me during my tenure as ATM.  It truly was a great experience for me
and I hope that my time served was as good for you as it was for me.  I also am looking forward to working with the new leadership of VATUSA; my plans are to to have the Western Region
play a big role in what looks like to be exciting times in VATUSA.  To the Western Region controllers and staff, I look forward to meeting and interacting with you and hopefully
together we can accomplish some great things.  Thanks again everybody!!!
