Come join VATUSA and VATCAN via Seattle ARTCC and Vancouver FIR in a crossfire! ZSE will be sponsoring the beautiful Portland International Airport (KPDX) and YVR will be sponsoring Vancouver International Airport (CYVR). Whether you pull out the Q400 or bring in a 737 (or any larger aircraft!), the short 1-hour flight in this 3-hour event will give you plenty of time to do a turnaround and return trip. The scenery over the Pacific Northwest is simply amazing and you will be able to enjoy fully staffed ATC as well!

« on: May 08, 2020, 08:00:25 PM »

This event is featuring KSEA!

Join the Seattle ARTCC in our (now) reoccurring Good Morning events! By popular demand from the last morning event we hosted, we will now be offering morning events every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 1600-1900z! Every 2nd Saturday will be featuring KSEA, and every 4th Saturday will be featuring KPDX! Keep your eyes peeled, as we may decide to throw in a satellite airfield instead of our main airports.

Due to the decision mid-May to offer this reoccurring event, the two-morning events in May happen to fall on the 3rd and 5th Saturday, but starting in June it will be 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month.

Support the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington by joining us on a Fly-In (or fly-out!) to/from Boeing Field (KBFI) on May 6th, 2020, 12 Noon to 4 PM Pacific.

This event will be in partnership with The Future Leaders Team at the Museum of Flight to raise money for the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. All donated funds will be through the GiveBIGWA at https://www.givebigwa.org/mofflyin and the Future Leaders Team will be matching the first $2500 donated.

They will also be hosting a Twitch stream to interview members of VATSIM and watch the fly-in. It can be accessed at https://twitch.tv/mofvfs. (Stream goes live 12:00 Noon Pacific on May 6th, but you can tune in any time and watch as much or as little as you like.)

Why Donate?

Your donation helps out during the time where the Museum of Flight’s normal way of operating is disrupted and its doors are closed. This is a critical moment where every dollar counts. Your donation goes to keeping the collection alive, keeping educational initiatives going, keeping the programs for all ages running and ready so that when we emerge from the crisis, the Museum will be there for us all.

We know that every dollar is precious - and that no decision about where to put those dollars is easy or simple. We are grateful for anything you give.

The Future Leaders Team has set up a $2500 matching pool to support your giving, and while it lasts, we'll match your donation so your generosity goes even further. Donate any time from now through May 6th. You can donate during the livestream, too.

We will be giving away 5 copies of Drzewiecki Design scenery! Tune in to the live stream on twitch on May 6th for a chance to win the raffle.
