Now available for all 22 VATUSA facilities are Traffic Management Maps. They can be accessed via the VATUSA home page while logged in under the "TMU Maps" menu.

Staff members (ATM, DATM, FE and WM) can modify their TMU Map colors under "Actions" > "TMU Map Management". Instructions on how to do it are included on the page.

Awesome Daniel! Someone has been very busy lately!
-
Awesome! Thanks for the great work, Daniel.
-
This is great Daniel, thank you so much. One question, after editing the colors is their any way to display a key to users indicating which colors are used for which fields?
-
Great Job, can't wait to use it.
-
Thanks, Daniel Great Work!

This is fantastic!

Not at the present time, no. I'm working a clean way of creating keys... so for the time being hovering over aircraft allow you to see basic data on them.
-
And I want to apologize to everyone for the length of time many had to wait.. higher priority things (VATUSA and rl) and waiting until this looked clean and available to all delayed the publication.
It is setup to allow TMU map setup for sub-facilities as well (IE, larger TRACONs, center areas, etc) and that may roll out in the next week or so. Facility staff would be required to enter latitude and longitude boundaries for the TMU map when this comes out.
-
To add:
Traffic updates every minute (an AirStats benefit)
NEXRAD updates every 10-minutes

It appears that some of the colors aren't matching up. Take a look what I setup for ZOA. I don't really know what is causing some planes to show in the proper colors, and others not to.

Example? Because the column name is also used as the plane icon color as well as the header for the row in the mgt page.. so there isn't any crossings that can happen.

It's working, nevermind.

Actually, it doesn't seem to be displaying some planes (http://imgur.com/a/AIgwE).
GTI405 SFO-CVG, properly displayed, appears to have been on full flight
AAL493, PHX-OAK, properly displayed, appears to have been on full flight
A3001I, SUU-MIB, online for about 15 minutes
AAL276, SFO-JFK, online for over an hour, probably the whole flight
KLM605, EHAM-SFO, online for about 18 minutes, 20 miles from destination at 13000
Looking at this, and comparing it to the flight map at airstats, I assume that the flight only displays when the pilot has been connected for the full duration of the flight. Would it be possible to alter this, as many pilots disconnect and reconnect during the flight.
If we plan on actually using this as a TMU display (with maps, etc.), I believe all flights should be shown. Perhaps you could merge the 2 minute data with airstats data, and for the flights that have been connected the whole time, use the airstats data to display them at 1 minute intervals.

I am building a data processor in javascript so each client would retrieve the raw data and process it to relieve bandwidth requirements on my server. Until then, unfortunately no. I'm using the data that is available and processed already.
-
JavaScript wasn't going to happen.. created a very limited, local parser.
-
This is awesome!!!
-
Nicely done!
-
Super neat. I'm going to model it just like the system we have at actual ZAB! Thank you Daniel!

The original, which was hosted on my personal project (AirCharts) was based off the one used by ZJX. Not sure if they're the same or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. I got the idea for colors by arrival airports from them.

Not sure if the creator of http://tmu.maius.ca/ reads the forums or not. Any chance i could be granted access to this?

Speaking of TMU maps....I can't modify the ZOA maps and the website is calling me Dave. ;D Are we no longer using these or is this some sort of bug?
-
You're trying to change your maps?

Seems like something on the site broke...I assigned an exam last night, and it called me Dave with that error message, but still assigned the exam..then told the student the same thing when he submitted it, but still submitted it..

Funny, after reading this is sounds like there is an issue with the site, so I tried to submit a formal ticket and.....I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Blake pls halp

The mail server was down which caused the error with the tickets and exams. There was a missing line of code which caused the TMU map management error. Both are now fixed.
