Nicholas,

Often facilities will host events around large sporting events due to their popularity. I recall Boston and Atlanta having an event a few years ago that had some baseball theme (although I forget the exact context). At any rate, if you have a particular event idea that you want to see happen, contact information for facilities Events Coordinators can be found on either individual facilities websites or on the VATUSA website under Division Info > Members and Staff. Nothing I've seen besides the initial "we received your interest" stuff.

I didn’t even get an email like this unless somehow I accidentally deleted it. When I go to the AFV website and login now it says they’re received my application though, so I assume it went through 🤷‍♂️

When I initially submitted mine, I got an HTTP 500 error back from the webapp.  If I go back, I get that message at least.  No other confirmation, though.

The Holland-America Line is coming up tomorrow morning! Here are a couple important things to keep in mind if you're considering participating in this event;

The New York, Boston, and Washington ARTCCs are once again teaming up to bring you an FNO like no other! We'll be lighting up the Northeastern United States, renowned for it's busy airline commuter and business service, and bringing service to three of the major metropolitan airports of the area: Boston (KBOS), Newark (KEWR) and Washington-National (KDCA). We welcome all pilots and aircraft to come and join us for this chance to fly with ATC service in one of the most busy and congested air spaces in the country!

The Pack The Pattern event seeks to replicate the busy atmosphere of a commercial airport. During this event, ATC fully staffs the focus airfield, and pilots are encouraged to fly VFR or IFR circuits or arrive at the airport during the event.
