San Jose, CA – Vanity Airways announced last week that it will begin scheduled service from Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport in California. Having been in the works for weeks, the airline announced that it will serve San Jose with up to 5 daily non-stop flights from its home in New York.
The diverse metropolitan city of San Jose conveniently offers a world-renowned quality of life, offering a wide range of exciting cultural and recreational activities.
“Located two miles north of downtown San Jose, Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) is a completely self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the City of San José. San Jose is Northern California's largest city...it's also the 3rd largest on the West Coast and the 10th largest city in the U.S.”*
Tentative new service from San Jose includes scheduled flights to Chicago, Las Vegas, Las Angeles, San Diego, Honolulu, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale and New York.
The new cities will be served from Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) in a mix of Vanity’s Boeing 737NG and Bombardier Dash 8 regional aircraft. Vanity Airways is proud to bring its world class service to the city of San Jose! No further comments were given on any possible further expansion.
Vanity Airways is expected to release its new SJC timetable in the coming days pending Government approval.
