I'm glad you recorded the video too haha!! And I did forget about you at times trying to coordinate some Pittsburgh departures (and as you saw AGC tower was siging off for a switch in approach controllers we were working with). I had a few guys departing to the east that caused handoff confusion. Those guys proceeding to Tyroo were giving us a huge challenge as to who I should handoff to. But yeah I'm glad you enjoyed the event and glad you could give me the challenge as well!!

Thank you for the kind words!! I was mentioning to others how all of you that flew into AGC were great and understanding! We did have a crazy workload and a few things to work around (a switch in controllers for tracon), but I really do appreciate your patience as we tried to get you guys down over there! Definitely hope to see you guys soon!

EDIT: I should also note I've let our webmaster about the feedback issue!

« on: February 15, 2020, 06:05:22 PM »

Won't you be my neighbor? On March 20th, 1928, the world was gifted with a child by the name of Fred McFeely Rogers. He would go on to create one of the greatest preschool television series, known as Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. The show would run for 33 years (ending in 2001), and would focus on many developmental aspects of life (including death, moving, divorce, and even war). The show would be the second longest running children's show ever, and one of the most unforgettable for most all of us today.

Come and join us on March 20th, from 2300z to 0300z, at Pittsburgh International (KPIT), as we celebrate the life of Mr. Rogers.

More info to come!!

Events / Operation Frost at KCLE
« on: January 12, 2020, 02:17:24 PM »

Mother nature can be vicious, and she definitely doesn't care about your valuable time. And when it comes to wintry weather, Cleveland gets the brunt of it. With lakefront changes, snow squalls, white-outs, and below zero temps, conditions can change in a matter of seconds. Thankfully, Cleveland has plans in place for the worst of weather. Called "Operation Frost", Cleveland-Hopkins dedicates a section of ground to "Frost Control" from October until April. Come and join us on Saturday, Feb 22 from 2359z - 0400z at KCLE as we prepare for any weather mother nature tries to throw at us!!!

« on: December 13, 2019, 09:54:39 PM »

The holidays may be over, but winter is in full force! Mother nature isn't going to let up any time soon, so the best thing to do is enjoy the best of it! And there's no better way to enjoy it then to head on over to the western side of NY and check out the beauty that is the Niagara Falls. And with temperatures below freezing, and the rivers slowing, the falls are a thing of beauty! Come and join Cleveland ARTCC on January 11th from 2359 to 0400 zulu (7PM to 11PM Eastern) as we staff up Buffalo Niagara International (KBUF) and take a night out to enjoy the beauty of a frozen Niagara Falls!

Two different cities, two different states, one awesome crossfire!

The city of Pittsburgh starts this off with it's famous joining of the Monongahela and Allegheny river into the Ohio river. And nestled in the West Mifflin borough, south of downtown, is Allegheny County airport (AGC), once the main hub of air traffic in and out of Pittsburgh.

On the northern front of the Cleveland ARTCC, inside of New York is Rochester. Located against Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes of North America), Rochester is the third largest city in NY, only losing to Buffalo and NYC. It's also home to the second airport of our crossfire, the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC)

Join us on December 22nd, 2019 from 17z to 21z as we staff up KAGC and KROC for a fun and scenic flight around the three rivers of Pittsburgh, Lake Ontario, and Rochester, NY!!!
