Title: PGZU - GUAM FIR, USA
Post by: Sean Harrison on July 14, 2010, 08:38:19 PM
Can anyone point me to the administering authority for the GUAM FIR, USA (PGZU)?

There is a fair amount of traffic out there at the moment, and would be good to help out with some ATC if possible.  PGUA being such a strategic Airfield I would envisage that it has radar services around the islands etc.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

PS. I did dearch the forum, but couldn't see anything relevant.

Sean

If I understand it correctly PGZU falls under ZAK-W FSS airspace so would be under VATUSA juristdiction. I don't know if there is any plans to get it going as an active ARTCC, but I do know that it has only be active once or twice that I have seen in my 6 years here at VATSIM.

Regards

Have a look here:

The FIR administration is mostly unofficial at the moment, but a lot of good work has been done, and there are some folks looking after it.

Anyway, thank-you for the link.

It's not a independently owned domain hosted website.. that's why. Still being developed as a visiting only FIR with volunteers to staff it, like ZAK FSS.
