Virtual Airlines / VASTAR WELCOMES NEW TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR FOR OUR EUROPEAN DIVISION!

We are excited to announce that Ricky Petersen has been selected to the position of Training Administrator for our European Division.  Ricky has been an instructor with VATSTAR for several months and has been a part of the Flight Sim hobby since around 2008.  He has also been quoted as saying he enjoys flying VFR around his home area in Denmark.
We are looking forward to seeing Ricky build on the European Divisions foundation.

Announcing the European Division


Following a historic 2 years, VATSTAR announces its expansion into the European division of VATSIM's Pilot Training. The planned expansion in Europe is the first development vision announced outside of the USA since the founding of VATSTAR in 2015. VATSTAR will be seeking to fill positions within the European branch.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:
Operations Manager- European Division – OPM
Handles all of the day to day operations of the division. He/she will be responsible for the well-being of our organization, manages new hires and able to make on the spot decisions based on VATSTAR policies and culture. Is in charge of advertising and communications with other partners and members.

Training Administrator - European Division – TA
Supervise Instructor staff; review all Certification recommendations and verify compliance and requirements for acquired ratings; review and update written lessons and testing materials; develop new course offerings.

Virtual Airlines / VATSTAR ISSUES ITS 400TH CERTIFICATION!

VATSTAR is pleased to announce it's 400th pilot certification.  This milestone is not only special because it was achieved in a short amount of time, less than 2 years, but also because the person receiving the certification is Sachin Gnath, VATSIM - West Asia's Training Director!  Mr. Gnath worked with our instructor, Anthony Colduck, on obtaining his P4 rating and in an congratulatory email stated:

" I am also confident that VATSTAR's P4 program is one of the best programs of VATSIM"! 

We are humbled and honored by these words, and work every single day to live up to that expectation!

Virtual Airlines / VATSTAR's 200th certification!

VATSTAR is proud to announce the certification of it's 200th pilot for the VATSIM network! At 01:00Z on the 21st day of August, 2016, our Chief Flight Instructor, Rob Shearman, advised myself and our CEO, Alex Caballero, that he had entered Mr. Kevin Clair, P1, as our 200th certification.
We are proud to say that we have accomplished this milestone in less than 14 months. We are still proving each and every day that we are THE ATO everybody will be talking about!
The hard work and dedication of CFI Rob Shearman and his team of instructors, Daniel Johnson, Antoine Saccone, Tomas Hansson, Grant Matos and Jan-Michael Allen, has paid off and this recognition is just the first in many more to come for them! Congratulations on a job well done to all!

General Discussion / VATSTAR looking for Partners and Pilots!

VATSTAR is the ONLY stand alone ATO offering VATSIM P1 - P5 certifications.  We are looking for experienced SIM Pilots to help train the next generation of PC Pilots. 

I am also looking for VA's and ARTCC's looking to expand their partnerships.  I have several options to choose from to help get our name out there for pilot training and your name out there for VA's.
