HCF Presents: VFR Hawaii [18:00z-22:00z]
« on: February 11, 2020, 11:22:57 AM »

Join the Honolulu Control Facility as we celebrate the warm 80s on a sunny fun day perfect for visual flight rules!

HCF will be staffing up multiple Center and TRACON positions allowing pilots to fly all over the Hawaiian Islands and relax on a sunny and warm Saturday with HCF Controllers.

From VFR on TOP to transitions to pattern work, we welcome pilots to try all and really make those patterns large and have some fun!

Event Airfields:
- Daniel K Inouye/Honolulu International Airport (PHNL)
- Kahului/Maui Airport (PHOG)
- Hilo International Airport (PHTO)
- Lihue Airport (PHLI)
- Ellison Onizuka Kona International at Keahole (PHKO)

A large thank you to ORBX Simulations for sponsoring VFR Hawaii! All pilots will have a chance to win Cityscape Honolulu Scenery! To enter, you must depart from a Event Field, make a full stop landing at a different Event Airfield and provide the Tower Controller with your CID to be entered up to a maximum of 5 times (5 Airports) for a chance to win the scenery. Only one (1) lucky pilot will be drawn randomly so make sure you stop at all event fields and advise the tower controller of your CID to have the greatest chance at winning!

Good luck pilots!

VFR Hawaii is in just 10 days! Reminder to all pilots that if you are interested in winning the amazing scenery 'Cityscape Honolulu' from ORBX Simulations, you must provide the Tower controller your CID after arriving into the field.

Here are the full rules of the event:
- File a Flight Plan with your accurate departure and arrival field
- Your Departure and Arrival field must both be separate event fields.
- You must make a full stop to be qualified for entry.
- You can only gain one (1) entry per event field.
- You can be entered up to five (5) times for a chance to win by flying into the 5 different event fields.

The qualification will be verified by the Local Controllers at the field prior to being entered into the contest.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns!

Mahalo!

HUGE thank you to ALL pilots and controllers who came out today to staff up and enjoy a nice day around the Hawaiian Islands! We had an overstaffed, yet still phenomenal event that ended well! The winner pilot of the ORBX Cityscape scenery has now been contacted! Once again, thank you to all members for lighting up HCF with an awesome VFR based event!
