Great Smoky Mountain Boogie
July 7th, 2017 - 2300-0300 UTC (1900-2300 EDT)
Join The Atlanta Center on July 7th for the Great Smoky Mountain Boogie! We'll be staffing up KAVL, KTRI, KTYS & KCHA with controllers online from 2300-0300 UTC! Gatlinburg (KGKT) is an uncontrolled field within Knoxville Tracon airspace and we'll be providing support from either a Lo Enroute Sector or the Knoxville Tracon. Be sure to grab your favorite Cessna, Learjet, or even a CRJ and come down the Smokies for a great night of flying or if you're a controller, who's not part of the ARTCC, then come visit Atlanta for a great chance to control some aluminum tubes in the skies over the Smokies!
Pilot brief will be available after 7/4/17

It's so cool that you guy make it a point to get together and control in person so often! I will def try to fly in this one!

I like the name of the event; so original. "Smokie Mountain Boogie". Makes me want to throw in a Dolly Parton CD and Bootskoot across the kitchen Flo.

Makes me more likely to toss some Ronnie Milsap or Alabama on, personally.

And I hear Patsy Kline ... maybe we should all start offering playlists for pilots during our events. :)
