News / VATUSA Data Services Manager
« on: July 16, 2015, 02:25:58 PM »
VATUSA is pleased to announce that Daniel Hawton is now serving as the VATUSA Data Services Manager (VATUSA6).  This is a consolidation of the prior Data Services Manager role, held by Clifford Morey, who has moved to ZID to fill a critical staff opening, and is now serving as the ZID TA, and Daniel’s previous role as the VATUSA Data Integration Program Manager.

As VATUSA Data Services Manager, Daniel will primarily responsible for managing the Division’s web and data services including web content and delivery, web services and scripts, network and infrastructure services including email systems, data storage systems, interface with VATSIM data systems, and network, systems and data security, etc. In addition, Daniel will be working several projects related to our data management and integration, including supporting more effective data interchange between VATUSA and the ARTCCs.

Dimitiri Trofimuk will continue to assist Daniel, in addition to his duties as the ZNY TA.  Clifford has agreed to continue generously hosting and managing the VATUSA HQ Teamspeak server, for which we continue to be grateful.

Please join us in thanking Clifford for his contributions to VATUSA this year, and welcoming Daniel to his expanded role!

General Discussion / FlightGear, Squawkbox, and SB747
« on: May 31, 2010, 12:14:43 PM »
I've been getting a few email regarding the use of Squawkgear on the VATSIM Network.  It is my understanding that SquawkGear is approved for testing purposes only for the FlightGear Community.

Please review this thread on the VATSIM Forums.  Flight Gear

The FlightGear Community would make a great addition to the VATSIM Network. Let's do our best to make them feel welcome and assist in the testing process as much as possible.
