Events / Cross the Pacific Eastbound 2021

After a hiatus of a few years, cross the pacific is back. Take out your favorite long-hauler, depart Asia, and arrive a few short hours later on the west coast of the US.

Slot bookings will come out the weekend prior to the event. We ask that you book a slot if you are planning to fly, these slot times will also help you stay within ATC coverage for your entire flight.

Date & Time: March 20th, 2021, 1000-2300z
Departure Airports: ZBAA, RKSI, RJAA
Arrival Airports: KSFO, KSEA, PANC

Toga Party? Toga is the name of one the sectors covering San Jose, named so since there are many planes that execute go arounds in the sector. Well, maybe not, but that's the lie we are going with.

Ever since we had the first Toga Party a few years ago, we've been itching to do it again. So here it is! San Jose (for your jets) and Reid Hillview (for your props) will both be staffed for your flying desires.

We know you like flying to SFO, so we're going to staff it. SFO sadly does not like when you fly to it. We'll give you a chance to win prizes if you fly into one of the other featured airports. You like free stuff, so don't fly to SFO!

  • Complete a qualifying flight arriving into SJC or SMF, landing between 0100z and 0530z on event day
Qualifying flights must meet the following criteria:
  • The flight must arrive at SJC or SMF, landing between 0100z and 0530z on event day
  • The flight must be greater than 100 nm in great circle distance
  • The flight can depart from any airport except for SFO

ZOA will be staffing Oakland (KOAK) and Hayward (KHWD) fully as well as some other airports in our airspace. Come bring your passenger jets, freighters, or GA aircraft into Oakland, the airport that can do it all. Hayward will be open for your bizjet and other GA needs as well.
