Two years ago, we said the only thing to do in Ohio was leave.
Last year, we made you vow to never come back.
But this year? Well the Guardians and Reds are two of the better teams in baseball... Maybe, just maybe, Ohio isn't so bad after all?
After all, Cedar Point is the roller coaster capital of the world and just renovated Top Thrill 2, one of the tallest and fastest coasters in the world... only to close it for the season… Maybe the rides work down at Kings Island???
We’re home to The elite Ohio State University... except their arch rivals Michigan beat them to the national title again... Not to worry! The mighty Miami University, Case Western, and Youngstown State will step up to the plate!
But it’s not all negative! The Cuyahoga River hasn’t caught fire in a while, and Norfolk Southern has yet to put a train of toxic chemicals on the ground this year! Jokes aside, while there are many reasons you may want to leave Ohio as soon as possible, just maybe you’d like to stay and try Cinci’s famous chili three, four, or five ways at Skyline or Gold Star, galvanize some rubber on the Goodyear blimp, visit the National Museum of the USAF (before Henry Ford tries to move that to Greenfield Village with the Wright Brothers’ bike shop too,) earn your degree at one of the our many acclaimed colleges and universities, or grab a beer and a coney at Tony Packo’s after a Mud Hens game before you go.
Just maybe don’t stay too long…
