On behalf of VATUSA, It is with great pleasure that I announce that Tony Jeppesen will assume the very important role of Deputy Division Director (VATUSA 2) effective February 3, 2018. Current Deputy Division Director Ira Robinson will laterally transfer to Division Conflict Resolution Manager (VATUSA 4).
Tony is currently the Senior Air Traffic Director on Staff and has previously served as Air Traffic Manager Seattle, Western Region Air Traffic Director and VATSIM supervisor. Tony has been instrumental in many projects in his capacity as ATM-Seattle and VATUSA 7. Much of his work and accomplishments are still being utilized today. Tony brings a wealth of experience to the position to include a background in human resources. His excellent service, pashion for the hobby, experience and knowledge will serve the Division very well as we strive to move forward in a positive direction.
Please join me in welcoming Tony and congratulating him in his new role as Deputy Division Director VATUSA.

Well, it's Friday evening, 1900zulu, and in a few hours I get to hand the office keys to Tony. I figure since everyone will be enjoying the festivities in the main conference room, that I would sneak off, let Don have his night, and very quietly thank you all for your kind words. It has truly been a lot of fun; even the parts that weren't so much fun, because I had the opportunity to work with you; the VATUSA community. There is much good here, and I want to thank everyone for allowing me to be part of it.
To Tony I say, have fun. Keep your feet on the ground and remember your job description. More importantly, realize that your words now carry much weight, both what you say in public and what you advise privately. You must choose them carefully. The only advise I would give is something someone once told me. Take your job seriously but not yourself.
Good luck Tony.

It's our night, my friend, and the party is for everyone, not just me!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you've done a phenomenal job as USA2, and I can't thank you enough!
