Hi Ya Justin,
The program did not work for me. Is it not usable on Win 7. I downloaded .net v3.0.1 or better and I get an error. See the attached picture.
Thanks, ed

Is AMA_MVA_FUSS_2020.xml in the same folder as FaaMvaToSectorFile.exe? If not, you'll need to either move it in that folder or copy the full path to the xml file (hold the shift key and right-click on the file and choose "Copy As Path") and use that as the first argument instead.

I have created a tool that will convert FAA MVA and MIA xml files to the sector file format.

The MVA and MIA files can be obtained here: https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/flight_info/aeronav/digital_products/mva_mia/

The project source code and pre-built binary can be found here: https://github.com/justinshannon/faa-mva-to-sector-file

Enjoy!

The Control Room Floor / FAA Digital ATIS Text
« on: January 12, 2020, 11:24:10 AM »
For those of you that are interested, I have created a website that pulls the digital ATIS text directly from the FAA SWIM data system.

http://datis.clowd.io/

There is also an API endpoint: http://datis.clowd.io/api/klax

And before anyone asks, no, I will not be integrating this back into vATIS.

Enjoy!

General Discussion / Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for vATIS...oh wait...

On a more serious note, a huge "thank you" to all those who have dedicated (and continue to dedicate) countless hours both behind the scenes to keep things up and running and to those who dedicate their time to help further the training of our current (and future) controllers. This network surely wouldn't be what it is today without you. I am also thankful for the friendships that I have formed because of this network.

Happy Turkey Day!
