Events / Cargo Cooldown Crossfire
« on: June 10, 2016, 03:20:04 PM »

*****CROSSFIRE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW CONTROLLER AVAILABILITY.  KMEM WILL REMAIN STAFFED.  SEE BELOW*****

Unfortunately, due to low controller turnout within ZID, we will be unable to hold the crossfire.  There simply would not be enough controllers to effectively staff all positions.  We sincerely apologize for making this cancellation so close to the event, and for letting down the VATUSA and VATSIM community.

Heat of the summer getting to you?  Then turn your packs on high and fly cargo (or passengers) between KMEM (Memphis) and KIND (Indianapolis) on Wednesday, July 6 between 7PM and 11PM Eastern (2300z-0300z).  Both fields will be fully staffed by the ZME and ZID ARTCCs.  We look forward to seeing you there!

NOTAM: At KIND, Default FS9/FSX scenery has the Northeast Terminal, while updated scenery has the Midfield Terminal.  If you are arriving, please advise the tower controller which scenery you have.  Updated scenery is available here: http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=191707

On Friday, April 29 from 7-11PM EDT, the virtual Indianapolis ARTCC will be hosting Friday Night Ops at KCVG, the only class bravo field in ZID.  Everything from a Piper Cub to an A380, VFR or IFR is welcome.  We look forward to seeing you there!

NOTAM: Default scenery for FS9/FSX has only two North/South runways, along with 9/27 for CVG.  Runway 36L/18R in that scenery will be referred to as 36C/18C by charts and controllers.  If you have updated scenery and wish to land on the new 36L/18R, just advise the approach controller.
