General Discussion / Re: JFK FNO
« on: September 11, 2021, 03:59:16 PM »
Ah yes. What everyone told ZNY happened exactly as expected, and ZNY is going to Herald about how great this single airport fno was and how it went perfectly.

Changes made to the fno structure were to help eliminate or atleast alleviate ground delays by spreading out the traffic. This event worked in exactly the opposite spirit of the new requirements, and they are going to say it went flawlessly when it didn't.

Not every facility wanted those changes.

And not every facility shows up to support their neighbors when they should be. One of those is policy (FNO airport requirements) one of them is a courtesy (showing up for your neighbors).

We know you’re sick and tired of flying into boring FNOs where all the traffic is nicely distributed!

Imagine using dodgy advertising to create ground stops and try to work around rules implemented and agreed upon by every ARTCC.

Nobody likes groundstops

Are you a god? Yes, yes you are.

I spent like 40+ hours manually doing the altitudes for MVA data in ZSE a few months ago in AutoCAD, this changes everything. THANK YOU
