Events / Hooked On Phoeniks Book #2
« on: July 08, 2023, 12:24:49 PM »

Has this ever happened to you?

"I'm flying on the VATSIM network and don't remember what that controller said to do 13 seconds ago"

Of course it has! You are a VATSIM pilot!

Hi, I'm Anton Chico here with Hooked on Phoeniks.

You don't have to suffer alone; Hooked on Phoeniks helps you get home!

For just 4 easy payments of $Free.99 plus shipping and handling, YOU TOO can figure out how to remember ATC instructions.

Gone are the days that controllers have to tell you "Evergreen 319, I need you to turn right immediately heading 230, you're going to hit the Sandia Mountains". Now you'll remember what you heard!

Call the number on your screen now to order.

ZAB will be staffing PHX on the VATSIM network. Purchase includes admission to the event. Offer valid only from September 9th at 2300z to September 10th at 0300z. Residents of Quebec pay additional fees. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for Delivery.

Everyone was informed and staffing was secured at ZAB.

ZAB was staffed and ready to accommodate, even after the change happened.

Maybe PHX was the better option if you wanted coverage. Not like you could change your origin airport at all. Once you select it days or weeks in advance, it's set in stone and locked in forever.

The moon landing may be fake, but these instrument landings will, well, I guess also be fake cause it's VATSIM. I guess I didn't really think that one out did I. Huh.

Anyhoo, we have an FNO on 15 March 2019 from 2359-0400z. Swing on by and tell all of my controllers their EC is terrible at writing descriptions!
