(you will not need to move to Oberlin, OH)Responsibilities:- Reports to the ATM and fulfills ATM responsibilities in the ATM’s absence.
- Maintains an online presence within the facility/community and on the VATSIM network.
- Acts as a senior staff member, leading and supporting ARTCC members.
- Attends staff meetings and public town halls regularly.
- Ensures that members comply with ZOB, VATUSA, and VATSIM policies.
- Functions as a senior staff member to assist in conflict resolution matters.
- Assists in development of ARTCC SOPs, LOAs, policies, and other resources.
- Assists in management of ATC roster, permissions, and access.
- Assists in management and guidance of ARTCC staff and their subsequent departments.
- Assist in the assumption of a role of an ARTCC staff in their absence and act as a member of the interview committee during the staff application process.
- Any other duty assigned by the ATM.
Requirements:- Hold a Controller (C1) rating or above at the time of selection.
- Able to fulfill ZOB activity requirements IAW ZOB 7210.3 3.2.
- Member of ZOB, or willing to transfer upon selection.
- Have no history of unprofessional behavior nor significant disciplinary record.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
Desired Qualifications:- Possess a high degree of commitment, motivation, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates qualities of understanding, patience, and maturity.
- Previously held a mentor and/or instructor role in a VATUSA facility.
- Previously held a leadership/staff role in a VATUSA facility.
- Have a good working knowledge of ZOB and neighboring facility airspace.
