Cac.. uh.. American....
Cact.. uh.. American....

I heard three in a very short timespan on KC center freqs. Two were from the same pilot - one on an initial check-in and then the subsequent readback of an instruction.

I can remember when they tried to use AWE and "US Air" and the confusion was just too much. I think this might be an easier transition...

Merging the pilot seniority lists is gonna be a nightmare.

"Under the tentative protocol agreement, the status quo at the start of the seniority list integration process consists of three lists: the US Airways list and the America West list, both still in place, because no merged list was ever implemented, as well as the American list. "

Dang...that should be fun for whatever sap has to try to put those lists together. I see a lot of disgruntled pilots in their future!

Flew US Air from FLL to PHX on Wednesday of last week.

"Ladies and Gentleman welcome aboard US Airways flight XXX, now American XXX with service to PHX." - Captain

Plane was in American new colors on the outside but still had the US Air interior.
