Events / Re: Chicago - New York Crossfire
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:28:18 AM »
Jakob,

We're posting for adjacent center support, wanted to ensure that the event is actually Saturday night,  4/8 2000-0000 ET?

Thanks,

Clif

To clarify, I assume you mean
4/8 8pm-12am EDT
4/8 7pm-11pm CDT
4/9 0000-0400Z (or starting 4/8 at 2359Z)

In the Regional Circuit, controllers fully staff two regional airports, providing complete 'gate-to-gate' coverage over this special four-hour event. The focus airports are typically 80-200nm apart, and a high volume of pilots operating in this compressed airspace means the Regional Circuit provides optimal conditions for congested frequencies and busy airways.

For more information and event downloads, visit the Regional Circuit page.

The event will run from 1900-2300 ET (2300-0300z).

Sorry for the confusion.

The Pack The Pattern event seeks to replicate the busy atmosphere of a commercial airport. During this event, ATC fully staffs the focus airfield, and pilots are encouraged to fly VFR or IFR circuits or arrive at the airport during the event.

Events / BVA GA Fly-In - "Connecticut": KHFD, KGON, KOXC [30 Mar 8 -11p ET]
« on: February 19, 2017, 05:15:29 PM »

Set the parking brake on the airliner and knock the cobwebs off your favorite general aviation aircraft! The General Aviation Fly-In visits locales across the ZBW airspace that are famous for their scenery and general aviation influence. While anything from a single engine Cessna to a small corporate jet is welcome in this event, ‘low and slow’ offers the best opportunity to experience the scenery.

We'll be getting a little help from our friends at ZNY, who have graciously agreed to staff KOXC in order to complete our Connecticut Circuit!
